[18] Behold my servant, whom I have chosen; my
beloved, in whom my soul is well pleased: I will put my spirit upon
him, and he shall shew judgment to the Gentiles.
[16] And I will pray the Father, and he shall give
you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;
[18] I will not leave you comfortless: I will
come to you.
[26] But the Comforter, which is the Holy
Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things,
and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you
[26] But when the Comforter is come, whom
I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which
proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me:
[7] Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is
expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter
will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you.
[17] And it shall come to pass in the last days,
saith God,I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons
and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and
your old men shall dream dreams:
[18] And on my servants and on my handmaidens I will
pour out in those days of my Spirit; and they shall prophesy:
[3] Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord
Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort;
[4] Who comforteth us in all our tribulation,
that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the
comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God.
[6] And whether we be afflicted, it is for your
consolation and salvation, which is effectual in the enduring of the same
sufferings which we also suffer: or whether we be comforted, it is for
your consolation and salvation.
[2] That their hearts might be comforted,
being knit together in love, and unto all riches of the full assurance of
understanding, to the acknowledgement of the mystery of God, and of the
Father, and of Christ;
